Reflection on Create

For our project, we did a spy camera using iPad and iPhone. We had our equipment ready to make the project, and we started the project a week before the Tech Fair. We had everything planned, and we downloaded the app needed for the project on iPad and iPhone. We sat up everything needed in the app, and tried it out, and it worked really well. So basically our planning worked. When we showed the teacher our project, the internet connection didn’t work really well, but at least we could see that it was a spy camera. Unfortunately our project wasn’t good enough to be a part of the Tech Fair. If I should have done this project again, I would probably make it a bit harder, because it was really easy to make our Spy Camera. When we went to the Tech Fair, I got a lot of great ideas for what to make next year. Next time I will probably make a music video, or stop motion video. I could really do better in the tech fair, but I didn’t have a lot of good ideas, so it ended up doing something simple. I will definitely do better next year, and I’ll make more effort in my project J

What is QR-codes?

QR-codes were first invented in Japan, were they are really common. QR-codes are much more useful than a standard barcode, because it can store much more data, and it have a lot more space.  QR is short for Quick Response (because they can be read quickly by a cell phone).

What are they used for?

QR-codes are basically used to take a piece of information from a transitory media and put it in to your cell phone.

Where can you find it?

You might have seen QR Codes in a magazine advert, on a billboard, a web page or even on someone’s t-shirt. You can scan this QR-code (using an app, that only takes 1 minute to download, and you can get it for both apple or android. )Once it is in your cell phone, it may give you details about that business, or details about the person wearing the t-shirt, show you a URL which you can click to see a trailer for a movie, or it may give you a coupon which you can use in a local outlet.

QR-codes are much more useful than a standard barcode, because it can store much more data, and it have a lot more space.

Tech Fair Design

Reflection: For the Tech Fair Design, I decided to make a layout showing an iPad and an iPhone.

Reflection:
I want to work on my first idea: To use an iPhone and an iPad to make a spy camera. I chose this idea, because it’s really easy to make this, and it seems really fun. It’s also really cool that you can spy on someone using your own iPhone and iPad. I also want to work on this idea, because I already have the materials needed, and its easy steps to work on.

Reflection: I think it was a fun task to make a video! We had the opportunity to not only write about ourselves, but make a video. It struggled a little bit when it came to uploading the video in blogspot and wikispaces.

Task 5: Compare between HTML and Dreamweaver

Reflection: I think Dreamweaver was easier and better to use than HTML, because for HTML you need codes for everything, and its harder to use. To use Dreamweaver you dont need codes, you can just write what you want, and its easy to add colour and pictures.

Reflection: I think this task was the funniest task. I also think dreamweaver is easier to use, and its really fun to use it, because we can add colour, pictures and text in an easy way.
